Alas we didn’t win the main Epic Award 2014 but voting is still open for the People’s Choice Award. Have you cast your vote yet? If not, you can either vote online through the Epic Awards web site.
See below for an extract from the encouraging letter we received from Voluntary Arts Scotland.
“I am writing to inform you that the judging panel of this year’s Epic Awards has now met, and a decision has been reached.
The panel comprised of Voluntary Arts Scotland staff and a representative from Creative Scotland – and we all agreed that choosing a winner and runner-up was incredibly hard in the face of so many wonderful projects and organisations.
It was an extremely close call, but I am sorry to inform you that on this occasion, you have not been awarded the Scotland winner or runner-up.
We were all extremely impressed by your application, and agreed that Pushing Out the Boat was an impressive example of what can be achieved within the voluntary cultural sector. However, the panel felt that two other groups just had the edge.
The People’s Choice Award will remain open for voting until Monday 24 February – so please keep encouraging friends and family to vote for you! A winner will be announced at the Epic Awards Winners’ Reception in Glasgow on Wednesday 26 February, as well as the winner of the Peer Award for Excellence, which you are also still in the running for .”
